Starting from Monday, January 2, 2023, residents and visitors of Desenzano del Garda will be able to take advantage of an innovative parking service in the “barrier” parking lots located in the Vallone and Maratona areas. This new telematic system will allow for simpler and faster management of parking operations.
The Telepass service will enable users to access the two parking lots through dedicated lanes, eliminating the need to collect a ticket at the entrance. The parking fee will be charged directly to the Telepass account, significantly simplifying the experience for drivers. Both areas have two separate entrances; one will be exclusively reserved for Telepass device holders.
For residents using this service, a discount will be available, applicable only if the Telepass is registered with an address within the municipality. It is important to note that users already holding subscriptions for the Vallone or Maratona areas must use the lane that is not reserved for Telepass. Otherwise, even if they do not intend to pay via the device, an automatic charge will still be applied.
Those without a subscription or Telepass will continue to follow the traditional procedure: they will need to collect a ticket at the entrance and proceed to pay at the automatic machines before exiting the parking lot.
This initiative represents a significant step forward in enhancing the municipal services related to mobility in the city of Desenzano del Garda, making access to facilities smoother and more convenient for all users.
