Desenzano Healthcare Initiatives in 2001: Training, Screening, and Technology
The list of initiatives undertaken by the Desenzano company, which includes hospitals in the eastern province, is quite extensive: the new service charter, “comicotherapy” (to make children’s stays more cheerful), the communication plan detailing the timing and modalities of service delivery (posters displaying wait times for outpatient visits and various services are posted in high-traffic areas), training of healthcare staff, the initiation of a nursing diploma course with the Università di Brescia (three years long, with 4600 hours of educational activities), the customer satisfaction analysis, and the multimedia project (the arrival of sponsors).
Interventions in 2001
In 2001, the collection points for blood samples will be qualified, a training and onboarding system for new hires will be launched, mammogram screenings will be carried out, and breastfeeding among new mothers will be promoted. Lastly, the acquisition of computers and IT equipment will enable a significant leap in quality.
