Desenzano Leaders Collaborate with Ascom to Support Local Business Growth
First meeting with the Ascom, the merchants’ association section of Desenzano, for the counselor Emanuele Giustacchini, deputy mayor and responsible for the Commerce and Public Education sector. Promising prospects for fruitful collaboration emerged from a lengthy meeting attended by the Board of Directors of the association, led by Raffaella Visconti and composed of Giuseppe De Gasperini, Grazia Biemmi, Nicola Franzini, and Roberto Zamboni. The discussion covered multiple topics, from routine management and commercial activities, with a view to improving basic services, to more precise planning of events aimed at revitalizing the suburbs.
Initiatives and institutional connections
Full harmony between counselor Giustacchini and the association president Raffaella Visconti, in the shared intention to oppose the creation of large commercial structures in the area, which would stifle the local economy. Meetings with political forces and the Sections of the merchants’ association are already scheduled to develop a synergic action aimed at countering these recent initiatives.
“It is my intention to establish a climate of collaboration with the industry,” states counselor Giustacchini. “The dialogue with the representatives of Ascom desenzanese has already paved the way for new initiatives, both at the local level and regarding the organization of services and interventions at the provincial level.
Regarding the large commercial structures,” continues the deputy mayor,” we have already taken action, in agreement with the Administrations of neighboring municipalities, to jointly conduct efforts to safeguard and respect small businesses.”
