Desenzano Students’ Research on Tourism and Rural Economy Presented

The two-year experience of the fifth-grade students of “Bazoli” Technical Commercial Institute regarding the process of equal opportunities between tourism and rural economy in the city of Desenzano has been documented in a research book that will be presented this evening at 7:00 PM in the Brunelli Hall of Palazzo Bagatta in Desenzano.

Provincial councilors for tourism, Ermes Buffoli, and for agriculture, Gianpaolo Mantelli, have announced their attendance. The evening will be moderated by Maria Ida Germontani, president of the National Commission for Equal Opportunities of the AN (National Association) and a member of the Desenzano city council.

Book presentation and participants

The book reflects the two-year experience of the students from “Bazoli”, coordinated by Professor Concetta Grosso, with the final draft prepared by Professor Maria Luisa Monesi.

“The commission — writes Maria Ida Germontani in the preface — by embracing mainstreaming, a project aimed at integrating the concept of equal opportunities into all areas, has created this publication to highlight equal opportunities between the tourism and agricultural sectors of Desenzano.”

Interesting facts and research contents

Among the interesting aspects of the research is the creation by the students of the linguistic program “Progetto Brocca” of a virtual winegrowing company, preceded by a detailed historical investigation from the twentieth century to today.

The guide does not claim to be exhaustive, but it relies on historical memories and emotions to truly build a “territorial togetherness”, where every activity is an expression of identity at its best.
