Dolcè Approves Road Connection to Boost Tourism and Economy

In the latest session, the Dolce Town Council approved the project drafted by the Provincial Administration for the construction of the connection between Provincial Road 57 of the Altopiano and State Road 12, better known as the Peri-Fosse.

Consequences and objectives of the intervention

“With this act,” states the mayor of Dolcè, Filiberto Semenzin, “we put an end to a long-standing issue, which has been a source of controversy, protests, and very justified complaints, but which had caused some confusion due to a lack of expertise. Some had involved entities that had no jurisdiction whatsoever,” continues Filiberto Semenzin.

“Furthermore, the intervention was even included in the political administrative programs for the formation of new mountain councils, falsely giving the impression that they had the authority to decide on quite anything. Fortunately, official and public acts clarify things,” he adds.

During a recent meeting with Councilor Pozzani of the Provincial Administration, I received confirmation of his interest in expediting the process. The Province, responsible for the intervention, is pushing at full speed to open this important connection between Valdadige and Lessinia by next summer,” he explains.

This connection has been recognized as highly significant, especially considering the numerous economic advantages it will bring to the area, which is little known but deserving of a renewed push, a clear reassessment, and rediscovery across various sectors.

“In fact, it is a very important road artery from all points of view: an interesting connection also for Lessinia tourism, to further showcase its beauty and that of Valdadige, its landscapes, and not least, its typical wines,” concludes Mayor Semenzin.

In any case, when talking about this area and its roads, it is easy to recall that those coming down from Fosse reach Peri, crossing the bridge over the Adige that leads to the neighboring municipality of Brentino Belluno, the pilgrim’s trail heading to the Sanctuary of Madonna della Corona, the new Sanctuary of Cristo della Strada, which protects drivers on the Brenner motorway, and then, it is easy to continue towards the Mount Baldo area and Lake Garda.
