A 63-year-old Dutch citizen was arrested in Lazise by the Carabinieri of the Peschiera del Garda Mobile Unit during a routine patrol operation. The man, who was on vacation at Lake Garda with his family, was located within a lakeside accommodation and found to be subject to a detention order issued by the Judicial Authority of Rome. He received a sentence of 5 years and 6 months in prison for drug trafficking offenses committed in the capital. Following his arrest, the man was transferred to the Verona-Montorio Correctional Facility, where he will remain at the disposal of the judicial authorities.
