On Saturday, March 22, at 4 PM, the ancient library of the Gargnano rectory will host a meeting with Emiliano Bezzon to present his latest noir novel titled “Abandoned Bodies – The New Investigation of Giorgia del Rio and Doriana Messina.” This event, part of the series “Rediscovering History… Meeting the Authors,” will feature Bezzon in conversation with Roberta Ghirardi. Admission is free until seats are filled, at the historic location on Via Don Primo Adami No. 46, next to the parish church of San Martino.
In the new book, the author narrates the adventures of Doriana Messina, who, after an intense investigation into the trafficking of stolen artworks, decides to take a break with her friend Giorgia del Rio. However, the memory of her father’s mysterious death as a carabiniere resurfaces, leading her into a personal quest that intertwines politics, organized crime, and intelligence services. Meanwhile, Giorgia connects with women who are victims of domestic violence in Milan, thereby creating a link between seemingly distant worlds and revealing surprising truths.
