Environmental Firms in Garda Collaborate on Water and Waste Management Projects
Important meeting between two companies dedicated to depuration and environmental protection took place recently in Castiglione delle Stiviere between l’INT.DEP.CAST srl (Intervento Depurazione Castiglionese) and L’Azienda Speciale Garda Uno, the municipal company of Garda.
The respective Presidents, Nunzio Belluzzi for l’INT.DEP.CAST and Guido Maruelli for Garda Uno, along with their general directors, Mr. Franco Richetti and Mr. Mauro Morandi, were present. Special witnesses included Sindaco Arturo Sigurtà and Castiglione’s Environmental Counselor, Giuseppe D’Ambrosio, who formalized the signing of the memorandum of understanding for the management coordination of public services with environmental significance.
Objectives and methods of cooperation between the companies
Essentially, the two entities have launched a form of cooperation that will see both companies engaged in managing their respective services in the Garda Bresciano area and the Alto Mantovano.
The main goal is to structure the overall organization and coordination of services, in order to optimize delivery and improve quality of life, promoting the protection of the environment and human health.
Initiatives will be implemented to raise user awareness on the rational use of resources, with particular attention to the need for constant maintenance of internal water systems.
Special focus will also be given to the use of environmental water resources, as well as to waste recovery and reduction.
Future projects and regulatory references
Among the upcoming actions, the two companies, in agreement with each other, may promote the development of dual networks for residential, commercial, and industrial settlements, suitable methods for using treated wastewater, and the recovery of materials and energy from waste.
Within the scope of their responsibilities, the companies will adhere to the provisions recently established by Laws Ronchi and Galli.
Nothing in the memorandum of understanding results in the entrustment of services to the companies of the entities mentioned, by the municipalities involved in the territorial associative structures Garda Uno and Int. Dep. Cast., while respecting the autonomy of local communities.
Activities and development of the collaboration
The collaboration initiated with this signature will not be limited to general consultancy activities but will extend to optimizing the disposal of plant waste, residual sludge from the depuration plants, as well as the dry fraction of municipal solid waste, through Cogeneration, studies, projects, and activities related to raising awareness and promotion.
