An important initiative for the environmental sustainability of Monte Brione has been launched in Riva del Garda, where Apt Garda Dolomiti, in collaboration with the Municipality and the Protected Areas Service, is actively working to preserve this precious heritage. Throughout the year, official paths are being maintained, and efforts are being made to regenerate unauthorized trails, aimed at channeling tourist flows onto approved routes and protecting the most vulnerable areas. Measures taken include tree planting, the construction of fences, and the installation of new signage.
Coinciding with the Bike Festival, which began on Thursday, May 1st, new signs have been implemented to guide bikers and pedestrians towards designated paths. Volunteers from the Alto Garda and Ledro Environmental Protection Coordination, along with the Garda Rangers and the Forestry Corps, will oversee the trails, providing information on the proper use of the area. Additionally, along the access points to Monte Brione, informational installations with maps and behavioral guidelines are being set up to raise visitors’ awareness of respecting the uniqueness of the territory throughout the year.
