Eurospin Verona Run: the international marathon involves 12,000 runners

On Sunday, the 24th Eurospin Verona Run will take place, an international marathon featuring the participation of as many as 12,000 runners from 87 countries. The event, organized by Gaac 2007 Veronamarathon Asd with the support of the Municipality of Verona, inaugurated the Expo Village on Friday at the Pala AGSMAIM Forum. The event promises to enliven the streets of the city with a true river of runners, including a significant foreign representation that makes up 35% of the participants, with Germany leading in terms of the number of athletes. The races of 42 and 21 kilometers will start from Piazzale Olimpia at the Bentegodi Stadium, with the finish line set in Piazza Bra, where winners and all finishers will be greeted by the applause of the public. In total, 901 sports teams will participate, with the local team KM Sport dominating with 178 athletes. There will also be representatives from abroad, including a team from New Zealand.
