Fake degrees in Brescia: illegal nutritionists exposed

A network of fake degrees uncovered in Italy: two fake nutritionists from Brescia are also in trouble. The operation “Vera Salus” has revealed a widespread scheme involving irregular academic titles and unlicensed professionals, particularly in the Brescia area, with two individuals under investigation: a 36-year-old from Desenzano and a 50-year-old from Rezzato. Coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office of Florence, the investigation has identified 41 individuals practicing as nutritionists without proper authorization across various regions. The suspects are accused of unlawful practice, and their counterfeit academic credentials have been seized. The operation began with two pseudo-university institutions located in Empoli and Montespertoli, linked to a Tuscan entrepreneur, which offered online courses through a Swiss university that was not authorized to issue valid degrees in Italy. The fake nutritionists operated in medical offices and gyms, proposing dietary plans and prescribing potentially harmful supplements to clients. The Guardia di Finanza has seized five professional offices and numerous forged diplomas, reaffirming its commitment to public health protection and combating professional malpractice.
