Fake Law Enforcement Calls Targeting Garda Business Owners

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in Middle and Upper Garda, proposing subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the financial police, police force, fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with law enforcement.
