Fake Law Enforcement Calls to Businesses Targeting Lake Garda Responders

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs around Lake Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines associated with the army.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the regular police, the fire brigade, or the municipal police.
