A fatal accident occurred around 5:45 PM on the Gardesana, involving a motorcycle and a car, resulting in the death of 30-year-old Sebastiano Bertera, originally from Riva del Garda and residing in Limone. The young man, riding his motorcycle, collided with a Volkswagen driven by a couple of Danish tourists who were attempting to turn left to enter another road. The impact threw Bertera against the guardrail; despite the intervention of the air ambulance, attempts to resuscitate him were unsuccessful. The passengers in the car were unharmed.
Emergency services and the Traffic Police arrived at the scene of the accident to carry out the necessary investigations, supported by surveillance cameras in the area that will help reconstruct the dynamics of the incident. This tragic event follows another fatal accident that occurred earlier that same morning in Malcesine, where a local young man lost his life under similar circumstances. Investigations are currently ongoing to clarify the causes of both accidents.
