A serious accident shook the community of Malcesine late on Sunday, June 15, when a car carrying four young men veered off the road along the Gardesana Orientale, near the district of Navene. The impact, which occurred shortly before midnight, saw the vehicle crash into the guardrail, which penetrated the cabin. Unfortunately, a young man of just 18 years, a local resident, lost his life instantly, despite the immediate intervention of emergency services.
The injured were promptly assisted by numerous emergency vehicles, including two ambulances and a helicopter ambulance from Trentino Emergenza. Another passenger was transported in yellow code to the hospital in Peschiera del Garda to receive necessary care. Law enforcement is currently investigating the exact dynamics of the accident to clarify the causes that led to this tragic situation.
