The art exhibition dedicated to Federico Fellini, titled “From Drawing to Direction,” is currently taking place at the MuSa in Salò until August 31, 2025. On the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the birth of cinema, the exhibition showcases around 50 unpublished graphic works by the renowned Italian director, including drawings and caricatures that reveal his creative process. Curated by Elena Ledda and Francesco Grandesso, the exhibition is the result of significant collaborations with institutions such as the Fondation Fellini pour le Cinéma and the Fellini Museum Archive in Rimini, highlighting the connection between his sketches and the films that have marked the history of cinematography.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors can admire works that document not only Fellini’s artistic evolution but also his professional friendships with figures like Nino Rota and Ennio Flaiano. The exhibition offers a unique opportunity to explore the life and work of a master of cinema through a new lens, also shedding light on his final works created during his time in the clinic. With an accessible admission ticket, this initiative represents an important celebration of Fellini’s cultural legacy in his hometown and beyond.
