Femicide in Castelnuovo del Garda: community reflection initiative

A moment of reflection will take place on Thursday, October 30, at 7:30 PM in front of the municipality of Castelnuovo del Garda, to honor the memory of Jessica Custodia de Lima Stapazzollo, a victim of a tragic femicide that recently occurred. The 33-year-old, originally from Brazil, was brutally murdered by her ex-partner, Reis Pedroso Douglas, who had a history of domestic violence and a restraining order against him. The initiative, promoted by the Department of Equal Opportunities of the municipality, aims to express solidarity with the family and highlight the importance of respect and dignity for women. The municipal administration has reaffirmed its commitment to the fight against violence against women, emphasizing its partnership with the Telefono Rosa association to establish a support center in the area.
