With the arrival of Ferragosto, Gardaland is gearing up for a fully booked summer season. According to recent statistics provided by SIAE for 2023, the connection between amusement parks and summer tourism is becoming increasingly evident, with a notable 64% of visits concentrated in the summer months. August, in particular, accounts for 27% of total attendance.
A Significant Economic Impact
Amusement parks are not just places of entertainment; they are genuine tourist destinations that exert a considerable economic impact on the surrounding areas. Some parks attract over half of their visitors from abroad, thereby significantly contributing to both national and international tourism flows. Gardaland remains the undisputed leader in the sector with approximately 3 million visitors annually.
Top-Notch Hospitality
Just days before Ferragosto, the hotels at Gardaland Resort—including the Gardaland Hotel, Gardaland Adventure Hotel, and Gardaland Magic Hotel—are reporting full occupancy. This excellent hospitality offering continues to meet guest expectations thanks to a combination of fun and relaxation, all in a strategic location for exploring the wonders of Lake Garda and the city of Verona.
Water Attractions in the Spotlight
During the summer, a survey conducted within the park revealed that water attractions are particularly favored by visitors. Topping the list is the spectacular Fuga da Atlantide, followed by the Colorado Boat and the Jungle Adventure. The high temperatures have certainly influenced the preference for these refreshing experiences.
Summer News: Wolf Legend
Among the seasonal highlights is the recent opening of Wolf Legend, a drop tower designed for adventurous families. Visitors can take on this immersive experience that features a breathtaking 25-meter drop to rescue a large wolf sculpted in the octagonal tower, which stands over 16 meters tall.
Extended Hours and Nighttime Atmosphere
Park attendance increases during the evening hours, especially from 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM. This is made possible by the introduction of discounted tickets that allow guests to enjoy five consecutive hours of entertainment during the late afternoon and evening. Additionally, until September 15, the “Night is Magic” experience is active, transforming Gardaland into an enchanting setting with special dedicated events.
LEGOLAND® Water Park: Fun Assured
The first LEGOLAND® Water Park in Europe offers young visitors the chance to enjoy themselves among colorful slides and creative activities immersed in the LEGO® universe. The water area includes various attractions such as the LEGO River Adventure and the Beach Party, ensuring unforgettable moments for the whole family.
Educational Activities at SEA LIFE Aquarium
At the Gardaland SEA LIFE Aquarium, activities are also in full swing with new additions for this season. Among them is the arrival of a young zebra shark and a pilot project dedicated to endangered species of bleak. Guests can explore these themes through interactive paths guided by industry experts.
