Lake Garda is getting ready to host the twelfth edition of the “Sounds and Flavors of Garda” festival, with two evenings of concerts that promise intense emotions and refined atmospheres. The events, scheduled for June 8th and 9th, 2024, will feature the Archimia String Quartet and the talented singer Elena Giardina.

The first evening, scheduled for Saturday, June 8th at 9:15 pm, will take place at the Auditorium of the “F.A. Bonporti” Conservatory in Riva del Garda. The concert, titled “Woman in Strings,” will be performed by the Archimia String Quartet, accompanied by the versatile voice of Elena Giardina. The performance will offer a selection of internationally renowned songs reinterpreted in a chamber music style, providing a unique sound experience that combines the warmth of string instruments with the pop/jazz tones of the singer.

The second evening, on Sunday, June 9th at 9:15 pm, will take place in the evocative Monumental Church of Sant’Andrea in Maderno. Here, the Archimia String Quartet will present “Near Northern – A Journey North,” a concert that will explore the sounds of Nordic tradition with Celtic and folk influences. This event not only represents a musical journey to the geographical north but also a spiritual elevation, transporting listeners to distant lands through the evocative power of music.

The “Sounds and Flavors of Garda” festival offers a series of free performances, all included in a single program coordinated by the artistic direction of Serafino Tedesi and his cultural association Infonote. This edition involves numerous municipalities including Calvagese della Riviera, Castelnuovo del Garda, Desenzano del Garda, Gardone Riviera, Gargnano, Lonato del Garda, Malcesine, Manerba del Garda, Nago Torbole, Riva del Garda, Salò, San Felice del Benaco, Tignale, and Toscolano Maderno.

The organization of the event is supported by the Garda Community, which oversees institutional and administrative coordination. With such a rich and diverse program, the festival represents an extraordinary opportunity to immerse oneself in the musical beauty offered by the Garda territory.
