The Tener-a-mente Festival is preparing to return with its thirteenth edition, promising a summer filled with music and culture in the beautiful setting of the Vittoriale Amphitheater overlooking Lake Garda. From June 22nd to July 29th, the festival will present a series of events spanning various musical genres and poetic-literary performances, attracting international and national artists.
This year’s lineup includes 17 concerts and an evening dedicated to poetry titled “Più Luce!” (More Light!). Among the international music scene protagonists will be Interpol, with their only Italian date on June 25th, Kasabian who will inaugurate the event on June 22nd, and Dogstar, Keanu Reeves’ band, performing the following day. Other notable names include James Arthur (July 3rd), Cat Power with the project ‘Cat Power Sings Dylan’ (July 8th), James Blake (July 8th), and the young promise of jazz-pop, Laufey (July 20th).
For many artists, it will be their first time performing on the lakeside stage of the Vittoriale. This includes big comebacks like Marcus Miller, who will perform on July 26th after six years since his last appearance. Glen Hansard will also return to this prestigious stage on July 2nd, while Jack Savoretti will present his new album ‘Miss Italia’ on July 7th.
The festival does not forget the Italian music scene. Among the protagonists will be Francesco De Gregori, with two performances on July 13th and 14th, followed by artists like Colapesce Dimartino (July 19th), Carmen Consoli (July 21st), and Max Gazzè, who will close the Italian performances on July 27th.
The “Più Luce!” evening scheduled for July 12th is artistically curated by Paola Veneto. This year, the show will explore the contradictions of masculinity through the words of famous authors such as Louis Ferdinand Céline, Alda Merini, and Pier Paolo Pasolini. Actors Angelo Di Genio and Marco Rizzo will give voice to the texts accompanied by Maestro Paolo Bononini on the cello.
Two weeks before the start of the festival, over 23,000 tickets have already been sold worldwide. The audience mainly comes from Germany, Austria, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, and the United States. The most represented age group is 31 to 45 years old.
Among the collateral initiatives, “Tener-a-mente a 4 Zampe” stands out, which allows spectators to bring their dogs to the events. Dog-friendly spots are limited but offer a comfortable experience for all animal lovers.
The official website of the festival provides further information on the services available to spectators, including parking reservations near the Vittoriale and discounts for visiting the museum complex thanks to special agreements.
