Fight in Lonato: youth violence in the Sport bar square
A violent brawl occurred in the night between Wednesday and Thursday, July 17, in Lonato, specifically in the square of the Sport bar, which is currently closed, and in front of a kebab shop. Several individuals, mostly young people, were involved in a confrontation that saw the use of cobblestones and chairs as improvised weapons. The alert was raised shortly after two in the morning, with at least four injured individuals treated on-site by the responding ambulances; however, the total number of participants may be higher.
The carabinieri have launched an investigation to shed light on the incident. The owner of the Sport bar, Simone Bertelli, expressed concern about the situation: “For months, the square has been a gathering place for many youngsters. When the venue is open, we try to disperse them when they cause disturbances.” This episode of youth violence fits into a context already known for turbulent behavior and noise disturbances.
