Firefighters inaugurate new headquarters after building it with community support

After depositing shovels and brushes, the firefighters, in great spirit, inaugurated their new headquarters on Sunday morning. They built it themselves, with admirable dedication, their barracks. Of course, with financial assistance from the Municipality.

Inauguration and Agreements

The agreement, after some initial disagreements that have since been resolved, provided that in exchange for the definitive vacating of the small building used so far, the firefighters could move to the first floor of the annex of the former Colonia Pavese. Where, among other things, they already occupy part of the ground floor, which will soon be renovated to serve as a storage and garage area.

New Prefecture Project

The result is a new arrangement that better suits the needs of the team and is more dignified and modern. Although temporary, as recalled by Mayor Parolari.

According to the municipal administration’s plans, a definitive new barracks is always in sight (but with presumed long waiting times) outside of the Pavese park.

Even the old annex building will ultimately need to find a new purpose and use before it collapses into ruins like the main building.

Inauguration Ceremony

At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, the municipal council and numerous citizens naturally attended.
