Firefighters’ Nativity Scene in Salò: Renewed Christmas Tradition
The Firefighters’ Nativity Scene of Salò has been inaugurated along the Zanardelli lakeside, an event that celebrates a Christmas tradition that has been ongoing since 2006. This year, the Nativity has been creatively arranged inside a red emergency van, replacing the traditional manger, and positioned beneath an impressive cedar tree to wish the entire community a happy holiday season. Coinciding with the inauguration, the Friends of the Firefighters have set up a red tent where passersby can enjoy typical festive sweets. The Salò fire station, comprised of eight full-time firefighters available 24/7 and about 35 volunteers, responds to approximately 800 calls each year, covering a vast area that extends to Bagolino, Prevalle, and Nuvolento, as well as along the lakeshore from Limone to Desenzano. With this initiative, the firefighters not only reaffirm their commitment to the community but also help keep alive a tradition that enriches the Christmas season in the area. Italian Version
