Flu Prevention in Schools: Initiative in Brescia
The campaign “Let’s Cover Them Well… with Prevention,” promoted by the Italian Society of Pediatrics, has been launched in Brescia, already involving 20 kindergartens and primary schools in the area. This project aims to spread a culture of influenza prevention, starting from the classroom and extending to families and the community. Every winter in Italy, one in four children is affected by the flu, which can have repercussions on the social life of families. The initiative seeks to support parents and teachers in protecting the youngest members of society and the entire community. The campaign not only emphasizes the role of schools as health guardians but also offers free training to teachers and educational materials for use in the classroom. Among the available resources are educational games for children, informational brochures for parents, and a free phone service available until February 2026 for inquiries about prevention methods. With over 900 schools involved nationwide, the goal is to reach approximately 64,000 students, creating a virtuous cycle that protects not only children but also their families. Italian Version
