Forettefestival Celebrates 14 Years of Singing Competition in the Province

Forettefestival, the most imitated singing contest in the province, celebrates its 14th anniversary. There are about twenty contestants competing (some will perform in pairs), carefully selected by the artistic director Alberto Perbellini during months of preparation and meetings, to ensure a high level of technical skill and interpretative ability. This characteristic has made the event one of the most followed throughout the entire province.

This year, the auditions involved more debutants, whose presence was more numerous than in previous years. The rules stipulate a double performance for all contestants, although with different songs: tomorrow at 9 pm, Forettefestival will serve as a singing showcase to capture the thrill of debuting. The final round, scheduled for Ferragosto (August 15th) at 9 pm as well, will be a true competition, with a qualified jury judging the performers and announcing the winners.

Origin and Participants

The singing event of Forettefestival was conceived in 1988 to give young people the opportunity to step onto a stage and showcase their interpretations and artistic skills in front of a large audience. This audience is always ready to applaud the most promising voices and the most original performers.

Here is the list of this year’s participants: Davide Tonello from Verona, Davide Meschis from Villafranca, Barbara and Stefania Marogna from Buttapietra, Attilio Zanatta from Verona, Marco Petri from Verona, Giada Monteleone from Castel d’Azzano, Francesca Troiani from Sona, Sara Sambugaro from Soave, Antonello Buoso from San Zenone di Minerbe, Cristina Pigozzo from Verona, Teresa Polizzotto from Povegliano, Gianfranco Vaccari from Castel d’Azzano, Alessandro Molinaro from Caldiero, Valentina and Paolo Meneghelli from San Giovanni Lupatoto, Alessio Reggiani from Castel d’Azzano, Fabrizio De Fabritiis from Verona, Maria Luisa Vendramin from Alpo di Villafranca, Francesca Marangoni from Verona, and Renato Massella from Sommacampagna.

Guests and Performances

Among the guests appearing during the two evenings of Forettefestival are: Saverio Amato, a transformist and showman, fresh from the program on Canale 5 «La Premiata Teleditta»; Roby Zardini, semifinalist at the Sanremo Song Academy stage and winner of last year’s «Un palcoscenico per l’estate»; Luca Stella, an imitator of Renato Zero and winner of two editions of Forettefestival. He will perform some songs accompanied at the piano by Graziano Preito.
