Fraudsters Impersonate Police to Trick Garda Region Victims

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to military magazines of the army.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize the scams
