Fraudulent Calls Impersonate Carabinieri to Scam Hoteliers and Businesses

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, proposing subscriptions to the armed forces‘ magazines.

These are not military personnel, but fraudsters who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipality police.

How to recognize scams
