February promises to be a month full of initiatives at Spazio Lampo, the innovative center that serves as a meeting point for the Brescia community. With the program “Baleno,” the aim is to offer free events, workshops, and courses, thereby fostering moments of socialization and reflection on current issues. This initiative is the result of a collaboration between the municipal administration, Avanzi – Sustainability in Action, and local cultural and social associations.

Activities will take place in the Auditorium Livia Bottardi Milani and in the outdoor gardens of the space. Admission is free for all events, although in some cases prior registration is required.

PlayYoga Workshop for Children

On February 2, “PlayYoga” will begin, a workshop designed for children aged 6 to 10. This event aims to introduce young participants to the benefits of yoga through games that stimulate movement, balance, and breathing. Registration is mandatory and can be done by emailing spaziolampo@comune.brescia.it.

Migrating Voices: Stories and Culture on the Move

On February 8, the first of the events dedicated to migration experiences organized by the Lingua Madre Brescia Association will take place. These meetings aim to promote intercultural understanding through narratives enriched by music, dance, and traditional cuisine from the represented cultures. The focus of this event will be on Moroccan culture.

Awareness Day: Brescia Checkpoint

On February 9, Spazio Lampo will host “Brescia Checkpoint,” a project dedicated to raising awareness about the sexual health of the community. Rapid and anonymous tests for HIV and syphilis will be available. Participation is free or can be booked via calendly.com.

Jam Session: Music and Socialization

On February 14, the Jam Session returns, an open space for anyone who wants to dance or simply connect with others through music. This event also has no entry fee.

Return of Migrating Voices

On February 16, a second meeting in the “Migrating Voices” series will take place, this time focused on Moldovan culture. Cultural elements such as music and dance will also be present.

Regenerate-Mix Workshop

Finally, on February 18, there will be an interactive workshop aimed at teachers and educators, designed to make schools more inclusive through practical exercises and open discussions.
