Funeral of Simone Fogliata in Campoverde: tragedy and hope after brain aneurysm

A small community in Campoverde, Salò, is in mourning for the untimely passing of Simone Sebastian Fogliata Ramirez, a 19-year-old who died due to a cerebral aneurysm. The funeral service will take place tomorrow, December 13, at the parish church of the town. Simone, who was in Germany visiting his girlfriend, suddenly lost consciousness and, despite immediate medical assistance, passed away after two days of suffering in the hospital. His parents, Lourdes and Massimo, quickly traveled to Germany and decided to authorize the donation of their son’s organs, providing a chance for life to others. Originally from Ecuador, Simone is also survived by his brother Luca and sister Asia, along with his grandparents, Carmita and Gustavo.
