The Mondo Futurista exhibition will be inaugurated on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at the Castello di Desenzano del Garda, in the presence of the Minister of Culture, Alessandro Giuli. Curated by Giordano Bruno Guerri and Matteo Vanzan, the exhibition aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the Futurist art movement, highlighting not only its aesthetic renewal but also its cultural revolution. The exhibition features 50 iconic and previously unseen works, spanning from 1901 to 1943, including masterpieces by artists such as Umberto Boccioni and Plinio Nomellini, creating a dialogue between the modernity of Futurist ideals and the medieval atmosphere of the castle.
The exhibition setup represents an innovative meeting point between tradition and avant-garde, transforming the castle into an active element of the exhibition path. Giordano Bruno Guerri emphasized the importance of presenting works that continue to influence contemporary culture, while Matteo Vanzan highlighted the value of this dialogue between historical epochs. With the support of various local and national institutions, Mondo Futurista aims to be a significant cultural initiative to stimulate reflections on the connections between the past and the future in art.
