Garda and Cultural Events: A Festival for the Future of Food and Wine
On June 29, the Vittoriale degli Italiani welcomed **4,289 visitors** for the inaugural edition of **GARDA – A Lake in Celebration**, an event that highlighted **cultural events** and **gastronomy**. The initiative, promoted through a collaboration between the Vittoriale, the Garda Community, and GardaMusei, featured a day filled with artistic and cultural activities, including exhibitions dedicated to renowned figures such as Dante Ferretti and Isabella Monari. This event marks a first step towards an annual festival that, starting in 2026, aims to unite the three shores of the lake through culture and innovation.
Throughout the day, theatrical performances and presentations took place, including one by Pietrangelo Buttafuoco on the historic Biennale Review, and a narrated tasting of Grana Padano led by Cornelio Marini. The participation of numerous institutional representatives from the regions bordering the lake further underscored the significance of the initiative. Mariastella Gelmini, president of the Garda Community, expressed the intent to enhance the territory through events that celebrate local identity and promote gastronomic excellence.
