Garda Area Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Local Businesses

They impersonate carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigade, or municipal police agencies.

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
