Garda Area Scammers Impersonate Police to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda areas, offering subscriptions to the army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who occasionally claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.

How to recognize the scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.
