In Campione del Garda, a shared space for sports associations is taking shape, envisioned as a true “home” accessible to all. This ambitious project, initiated thanks to the generosity of Moreno Gasparini, the owner of an unused venue on Via Verdi, aims to create a center for social and sporting cohesion where members of various local organizations can meet and rekindle community ties. Roberto Chiari, owner of the ReUnion Kite Academy, is among the main promoters of the initiative and has already begun engaging local associations to transform this space into a vibrant meeting point.
The concept includes the creation of dedicated areas such as changing rooms, equipment storage, and a living area with a library and playroom. Additionally, there are plans for a hostel to accommodate visiting surfers. The goal is to recreate the vibrant atmosphere of the 1980s and 1990s when Campione was the hub for surfers. Chiari emphasizes that the project is inspired by the French “third places,” spaces that promote social interaction and co-design, aiming to strengthen social and sporting cohesion in the village.
