The project “On the Road” has returned to Desenzano del Garda, involving eight young volunteers from Rovato and Sirmione, ready to embark on an important experience in the field of road safety. From May 5 to 11, participants aged between 16 and 24 will assist the local police of their municipalities and the Regional Unified Emergency Center NUE 112 in Brescia, thanks to collaboration with the Regional Emergency Urgency Agency (AREU). During the official presentation, representatives from the municipal administrations and the Association of Boys On the Road emphasized the importance of the project in raising awareness about the risks associated with road safety.
The Vice President of the Association, Alessandro Invernici, urged the young participants to make the most of this opportunity for personal and social growth. The project, active since 2007 and now in its eighteenth year, aims to educate young people through direct experiences with institutions and law enforcement. With a peer-to-peer educational approach, “On the Road” seeks to cultivate more responsible and aware citizens, thereby contributing to a safer and more supportive society.
