Garda Christmas Launches New International Partnerships and Local Initiatives

The official inauguration will take place on December 1st, but the new edition of Natale tra gli olivi a Garda will effectively begin next Friday with a theatrical performance, the first of many scheduled activities.

The Garda Christmas program was presented yesterday at the town hall by Mayor Davide Bendinelli and the town council. “The event has been enhanced with a series of important innovations,” Bendinelli announced.

Innovations and new partners

He then outlined the innovations, the first being the partnership with several foreign locations: along Garda’s lakeside promenade, stands from Innsbruck, Istria, and the Bavarian town of Beilngries will be featured. “We wanted to establish these collaborations,” explained the mayor, “because we believe they can not only enrich the winter program but also give a new boost to our tourism activity.”

New features in Garda’s Christmas celebration

What else will be new in Garda’s Christmas? For example, and for the first time, there will be a significant participation of local businesses: shops and bars have agreed to produce a map of the town indicating the exhibition spaces for Christmas, as well as the open commercial establishments.

Eight restaurants have also devised a series of fixed-price menus. All the venues will feature a window decal that, just like the poster for Natale tra gli olivi, reproduces a work by painter Toni Fertonani.
