The Olio Officina Festival, a key event for the olive oil sector, will take place in Genoa from February 27 to March 1, 2025. Among the highlights of this edition will be Olio Garda DOP, which will participate with events and tastings dedicated to the quality of this typical product from the lakeside regions. The festival, directed by Luigi Caricato, will feature a series of meetings and roundtables, including one titled “Oil is Not Like Wine,” scheduled for Friday, February 28 at 10:00 AM.
Additionally, on Friday afternoon, a tasting experience will be held at Sala Ponente from 4:00 PM to 5:15 PM, where enthusiasts can explore the unique characteristics of Olio Garda DOP through pairings with various types of food, guided by chef Giuseppe Capano and the technical manager of the Consortium, Maria Viola Bonafini. Entrance to the festival is free until capacity is reached, making the event accessible to all interested attendees.
