Garda Literary Awards Celebrate Winners at Villa San Vigilio
A cascade of awards, recognitions, and mentions. More than twenty in total, distributed through the national literary contest «Premio Riviera» in conjunction with awards named after Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, who stayed at Lake Garda in the 1950s, and the international award offered by the restaurant «Ai Beati».
The awards were presented during a musical-literary afternoon at Villa San Vigilio, in the eponymous Punta, kindly loaned by Giovanni Rana. The event focused on poems and short stories, with some musical, recitative, and miming performances, along with image projections.
The entire event was hosted by journalist Claudia Farina and carefully followed by an audience that included special guests: the mayor of Garda Davide Bendinelli, the tourism councilor Antonio Pasotti, the provincial president of Asco-Unione Fernando Morando, the chairman of Garda hoteliers Giuseppe Lorenzini, and administrators from some neighboring municipalities.
Awards and Musical Performances
Following a musical interlude by Gaetano Pasetto, who performed “L’emozione non ha voce” by Mogol and Bella, accompanied by Carlo Favalli, the jury was introduced (Giovanni Rana, Roberto Angelo Gianfreda, Giuseppe Pimazzoni, Jan Langosz, Alberto Minazzi, Andrea Torresani, while Paolo Bosisio was absent) and the winners were showcased.
For unpublished poetry, the Cangrande trophy was awarded to Dante Clementi from Concamarise for “Noi,” while for published poetry, the Riviera trophy went to Rosetta Mor Abbiati from Verolanuova (Brescia) for “Volo di Gabbiani,” and the Cangrande prize was awarded to Claudio Bellini from Valenza (Alessandria) for “Ester”.
