Garda Purifier: uncertainties about Montichiari and Gavardo

The hearing before the Administrative Court highlighted the chaos surrounding the Garda wastewater treatment plant, with lawyers from Acque Bresciane confirming the uncertainty regarding the location in Esenta, stating that it is not yet official. Alternatives, represented by the two plants in Montichiari and Gavardo, are therefore back in the spotlight as concerns arise about the technical reasons related to the discharge of water into the Chiese River. The president of the court proposed a suspension of the ruling until next summer, with a decision expected in the coming days. During the debate, Gianluca Bordiga, president of the Chiese Federation, expressed doubts about the transparency of the reasons for the discharge of wastewater and the involvement of local authorities in the design process. Despite the criticisms and calls for greater clarity from the lawyers representing the municipalities involved, the representative of Acque Bresciane showed reluctance to consider such proposals. The Federation also revealed that there are no official documents regarding a treatment plant in Esenta, fueling suspicions of possible maneuvers to manage wastewater in a non-compliant manner.
