Garda Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, police, fire brigades, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or publications unrelated to the law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the real carabinieri — simply dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you’ve been targeted by individuals who, after receiving money, disappear and do not return.
