Garda Scammers Impersonate Police, Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to Arma magazine.

These are not military personnel but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or local police.

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have no connection to law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
