Garda Scammers Impersonate Police to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda regions, offering subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, police, fire brigade, or Municipal police.

Recognizing scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications unrelated to law enforcement agencies.
