Garda Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pretend to be Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to the arma magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune police.
