Garda Scammers Pose as Police, Offer Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They posing as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to be part of the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Comune police.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.
