Garda’s Christmas Event Kickoff with Tirolian Exhibits and Cultural Activities

Christmas among the olive trees officially kicks off on Saturday, but as early as tomorrow, at the exposition hall behind the town hall, the Swarovski crystal exhibition, the roulette table, and the display of typical Tyrolean products will open from 6 PM to 8 PM: three offerings from Innsbruck, which will be the protagonist of Garda’s first Christmas weekend.

Events of the first day

Tomorrow evening, at 9 PM, the second event of the theatrical series «Venerdì a teatro» organized by the La Rumarola company will be held at the conference hall, with the Castelrotto theatre troupe presenting «Niente da dichiarare», a humorous comedy by Charles Maurice Hennequin and Pierre Weber (directed by Tiziano Gelmetti).

The Saturday schedule opens at 11 AM with the inauguration of the exhibition of antique dolls and tin toys at Palazzo Pincini: the event is organized by Garda Arte.

At noon, the market tent will open in Piazza Catullo, featuring a book fair. Attendees will include students from the nursery, elementary, and middle schools, who will launch balloons with messages of good wishes for children around the world.

At the same time, the Tyrolean traditional products stand will open, showcasing the gastronomic offerings throughout the weekend.

Afternoon and evening activities

The official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the third edition of Natale tra gli olivi will take place at 3 PM in the town square, with the opening of the market and a concert by Garda’s Piccola Fanfara.

At 4 PM, the Innsbruck exhibitions will reopen and remain open until 8 PM. Simultaneously, Tyrolean folklore will entertain visitors with a Schueplatten group performance.

At 9 PM, the Big Band Jazzset orchestra will perform a celebratory concert at the conference hall.

Schedule for Sunday

The roulette table will be operational from 11 AM to 1 PM and from 4 PM to 6 PM. Exhibitions will also be open.

At 10:30 AM, there is a sailors’ festival in Piazza Catullo.

The main event of the day is scheduled for 11 AM at the conference hall, where the conference «Lo sport gardesano. Mountain bike: environment and quality» will be held, with the participation of Olympic champion Paola Pezzo, who will inaugurate a cycling trail.

Topics to be discussed include the «Cycling itineraries of the Baldo» with speaker Maurilio Cavalieri, president of the Ve.lo. club; «Businesses and sport» with entrepreneurs Giovanni Rana and Teofilo Sanson; and «The practice of mountain biking: health benefits» with sports doctor Lucio Cordioli.

Continuing activities

From Monday, December 3rd to Thursday, December 6th, the Natale tra gli olivi program will include, in addition to the Christmas market operating daily along the lakeside from 3 PM to 8 PM, the continuation of the antique doll exhibition (open from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM) and the gastronomic stand managed by the Pro loco and local associations (opening at 6 PM).

On Monday, an exhibition by artists from the Polesine town of Melara will also be inaugurated. The exhibition hall will also feature displays of pastimes and crafts from historical times.
