Gardesan Theatre Presents “Notes Among the Olives” Winter Music Season

The Gardesan theatre company La Rumarola is returning to present its winter season. This year, it is included in the Christmas program among the olive groves and is entirely themed around music, so much so that the organizers decided to call it Notes Among the Olives. Maria Antonietta Vianini, founder of Rumarola, explains the reason for this musical turn: «Our theatre company has also created a musical department. It is led by Rino Condercuri, who, in addition to being a talented actor, is also a conservatory graduate and passionate about music. Alongside other Rumarola actors, namely Andrea Tintorri, Katia Tarocco, Laura Dellavalle, Andrea Soffiati, Davide Bonometti, Marzio Bardi, and Rachele Massari, and with the collaboration of some sympathizers, he devised two concerts dedicated to Lucio Battisti and Luciano Beretta. We therefore thought of giving prominence to this initiative by dedicating the entire winter season to music, organized with the patronage of the municipal library. We believe this choice is suitable for the period and the Christmas atmosphere it is part of».

Program and Shows

The program begins tonight at 9 p.m. at the Palacongressi with «Un paio d’ali», a musical by Garinei and Giovannini: presented by the La Ribalta company from Piove di Sacco; the conference hall will again host the other three shows of the season. On Friday the 22nd, there is «Il nostro canto libero», a tribute to Lucio Battisti curated by Rino Condercuri. On Friday the 29th, the big band Ritmo-Sinfonica Città di Verona will perform in the «Winter Concert». Thursday, January 4th, concludes with «Luciano Beretta, the lyricist of…», another show devised by Rino Condercuri to pay homage to the Milanese and Gardesano artist who wrote hundreds of songs for the major artists of light music.

Solidarity Activities

On the charity front, Round Table Italia, an association comprising only members under 40 years old that aims to promote solidarity initiatives, organizes annual fundraising campaigns to support associations and volunteer groups. «According to the instructions of Round Table Italia, this year’s service at the national level», explains Alexander Baus, president of Round Table 44 Benaco, «will be in favor of La Nostra Famiglia, a national organization caring for disabled children and youth; we will support this collection with our local service aimed at the social cooperative I Piosi of Sommacampagna.

The cooperative manages a social assistance and recovery center for disabled individuals. Currently, two services are active: a day activity and education center and a residential group home. Round Table 44 Benaco will be present today from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Christmas market. Members will help disabled individuals sell handmade items such as woodwork, paintings, ceramics, porcelain, nativity scenes, trays, and ornaments; in other words, decorations and household objects entirely handmade by the children of Nostra Famiglia and I Piosi.

At the stand, festive greeting cards from the Austrian town of Kitzbühel, twinned with La Round Table 44 Benaco, will also be available. «This initiative, like others organized by Round Table Italia, aims to raise awareness of realities often forgotten and far from the spotlight. For us at Lake Garda, it is an opportunity to introduce the community of I Piosi of Sommacampagna, which we supported last year as well».

Tomorrow at 8:30 p.m., at the Hotel Regina Adelaide, a fundraising dinner will be held, with all proceeds going entirely to the I Piosi of Sommacampagna.
