Gardone Riviera and Toscolano Maderno have received the prestigious recognition of Five Sails 2025, awarded by the guide “Il Mare più bello,” a collaboration between Legambiente and the Italian Touring Club. This award celebrates Italian coastal locations for their good environmental practices and the quality of their hospitality, and this year it also included ten lake destinations, two of which are located on the Brescia side of Lake Garda. Gardone Riviera and Toscolano Maderno stood out for their commitment to maintaining a balance between environmental protection and high-quality tourism offerings.
In total, only 30 municipalities out of over 300 analyzed were able to achieve the Five Sails in 2025, highlighting the importance of these two locations as models of responsible tourism. The recognition underscores the foresight and innovation in land management by the awarded municipalities, thereby confirming their significant role in the landscape of Italian ecotourism.
