The community of Gargnano is in mourning following the sudden passing of Italo Bringhenti, the last butcher of a historic family dynasty, who died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon due to a heart attack. Until his last day, Italo managed the family shop, which has been operating for over sixty years in the historic center, where he and his wife Camilla welcomed customers, residents, and tourists. His expertise and passion for meats made him a reference point for many. Originally from the Mantova area, Italo began working in his parents’ business from a young age, eventually taking over the reins with his wife.
After the donation of his corneas, Italo’s body was transferred to the Rodella Funeral Home in Salò. The funeral will take place tomorrow at 3:30 PM at the parish church of San Martino. He leaves behind his wife and daughter Carin in sorrow, marking the end of an important chapter in the local commercial tradition.
