The Chiare Acque Anti-Violence Center has recorded a significant increase in the number of women it has welcomed, with 219 cases in 2024, marking a 33% rise compared to 2020. This growth was highlighted during the observance of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. The inter-institutional anti-violence network “Tessere Legami,” coordinated by the Municipality of Desenzano del Garda, actively operates in 76 municipalities and is dedicated to the prevention and counteraction of gender-based violence through integrated and multidisciplinary interventions. In the first half of 2025, the Center has already welcomed 122 women, demonstrating the complexity of the situations faced, with about 70% of them being Italian nationals and over 65% having minor children who witness the episodes of violence. In order to further improve the services offered, a monitoring and in-depth analysis process has been initiated to develop more effective and sustainable responses by June 2026. The Tessere Legami network continues to renew its commitment to providing support to women victims of violence, emphasizing that this phenomenon can only be countered through collaboration between institutions and the community.
