The Ecomuseum of the Valley of the Paper Mills has organized a series of guided tours of the historic lemon house at Palazzo Bulgheroni, located in Toscolano Maderno. This space, usually closed to the public, will open its doors exceptionally during the summer, allowing visitors to discover a significant piece of local history. The first tour took place on Thursday, June 5, with additional opportunities on July 10 and 24, as well as August 7 and 21. Reservations are required in advance to participate in these events.
The lemon house, dating back to the 17th century, is part of an architectural complex that also includes the remains of the ancient Roman villa of the Nonii Arii and the Paper Museum. Palazzo Bulgheroni has a fascinating history: it was originally owned by the Convent of the Servite Fathers of San Pietro Martire, then sold to a real estate merchant, and later to Count Rizzardi. Although it is a private building, visitors can admire its beautiful gardens and decorations from the outside.
